A Baby Girl!

Mia Calantha Hatfield arrived into the world on Sunday afternoon, June 23rd. She is doing great at home. It is truly amazing and wonderful! The pets are all doing great with her. Madeline has been a doting mom. We have been by the clinic a few times already. Tucker doesn’t seem too interested in anyone stealing the spotlight from him!

Dr. Ricketts and the staff have been doing such a great job in taking care of things and keeping me informed. It's allowing me to spend time with my new family member before I see patients again.

Heat Stoke Warning

With the summer heat, please be aware of the dangers of heat stroke in our pets. Make sure that they always have fresh water and shelter. Do NOT leave your pet alone in a car, even for just a few minutes. Pets can also overheat on a walk or even at home, especially if they are confined. If you suspect your pet has overheated, seek veterinary care right away. You may use cool water towels on the animal's body to cool its temperature down. Certain breeds such as pugs are more prone to heat stroke due to their conformation so be very cautious and keep them cool during heat waves. As with humans, any exercise or activity should be done early in the morning or late in the evening when it is coolest.
